Superhero Management Game Dispatch Comes Out In October

Ever wanted to manage superheroes in an animated workplace comedy setting? The episodic adventure game Dispatch will have you doing just that. Dispatch is set to release on October 22 for PC and PlayStation 5.

The game follows Robert Robertson—also known by his alter ego Mecha Man—after his mech suit has been destroyed, stripping him of his superpowers. In order to get the suit fixed and return to fighting crime, Robertson must take on a day job at a dispatch center managing other superheroes. In Dispatch, you’ll be delegating superheroes to various emergencies around the city, dealing with office politics, and managing personal relationships, all on your quest to return to your own superhero career.

First announced in December 2024, Dispatch is the debut game from AdHoc Studio, from a team of former Telltale Games staff that worked on The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Tales from the Borderlands. AdHoc Studio is partnering with Critical Role Productions on merchandise, a tabletop game, and an animated series for the Dispatch franchise.

Dispatch features a star-studded cast, with Aaron Paul leading as the voice of Robert Robertson. Other cast members include Jeffrey Wright, Laura Bailey, Matthew Mercer, Jacksepticeye, Yung Gravy, and more.

The game will come in two versions: a Standard Edition for $29.99 and a Deluxe Edition for $39.99, which will include a digital artbook and four digital comics. Dispatch currently has a free demo on Steam, and its October release will include the first two episodes of the game. The remaining six episodes will be released weekly until November 12.

Episode 1: Pilot
Episode 2: Onboard

October 29
Episode 3: Turnover
Episode 4: Restructure
