BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita Anime Announced For 2026

The BanG Dream! series continues its path towards world domination with yesterday’s announcement that another anime is on the way for next year: BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita. This entry in the girls-band series will follow the group Mugendai Mewtype, which consists entirely of VTubers. They have released 15 original songs and have had several live performances, including one yesterday, where the news of the upcoming anime was announced

Mugendai Mewtype consists of Nakamachi Arale on vocals, Miyanaga Nonoka and Minetsuki Ritsu on guitar, Fuji Miyako on keyboard, and Sengoku Yuno as MP and DJ. The members of the group have been actively streaming on YouTube since 2023, when the band was formed.

For those who are confused, BanG Dream! is a multimedia project that includes a game, several anime, and real-world bands, all of which share a connected continuity. In the case of six out of the nine bands, the same performers play in their corresponding real-world band and handle voice acting for their characters in the game and anime. BanG Dream started in 2015 and has been quite popular in Japan for some time, but gained additional worldwide popularity with the excellent 2023 anime BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!. This show was followed by this year’s direct follow-up, Ave Mujica. Another direct sequel to both of these series has already been announced.
