Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Film Adds Channing Tatum and Rebecca Wang For English Dub

More of the English dub casting for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle was revealed, and there’s a slightly unexpected name joining the cast alongside seasoned voice actor Rebecca Wang (Solo Leveling): Channing Tatum.

Tatum will be playing Keizo, a martial artist with a connection to Akaza, one of the upper-rank demons we’ve seen previously. Meanwhile, Rebecca Wang will voice Koyuki, Keizo’s sick daughter. They will join the rest of an English voice cast that includes Zach Aguilar as Tanjiro Kamado, Abby Trott as Nezuko Kamado, Aleks Le as Zenitsu Agatsuma, Bryce Papenbrook as Inosuke Hashibira, Lucien Dodge as Akaza, and more.

For those who’ve avoided the hype, Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro, a boy who goes on a quest to save his sister from permanently being transformed into a demon (which are basically this world’s equivalent to vampires), as he climbs the ranks of the Demon Slayer Corps.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is the first in a trilogy of three films that will close out the anime series, which already includes 63 episodes and three movies. The manga spans 23 volumes and ran from 2016 to 2020.

Infinity Castle came out in Japan on July 18, setting the record for the fastest film to earn over 10 billion yen (roughly $71 million) in the country. It is currently sixth all-time in the Japanese box office, having earned around $150 million. It recently opened in Taiwan and Thailand, and will be rolling out to the rest of the world in the coming month or so, with a United States release on September 12.

Infinity Castle will once again be animated by Ufotable, with Haruo Sotozaki returning as director, Yūichi Terao handling cinematography, and Manabu Kamino handling editing. Aniplex and Toho distributed it in Japan, and its worldwide release will be done by Crunchyroll through Sony Pictures Releasing. The film comes in at a sizable 155-minute runtime.

2020’s Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train is the highest-grossing film in the Japanese box office and the highest-grossing Japanese film worldwide, having earned a total gross of over $500 million. It will be interesting to see if the finale to the series can approach those impressive figures.
