Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. Season 2 Releasing In 2026

The second season’s release window was revealed today because the manga just published its final chapter; it ran for 17 volumes in Shonen Jump+, starting in October 2021. The following teaser image for Season 2 of the show was released alongside today’s news.

Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. follows Kana Sakuragi, a recent college grad who has flunked out of every job interview. That is, until she stumbles into the middle of a magical girl battle between Hitomi Koshigaya and a monster called a Kaii. After Kana steps up to help Koshiyaga, the latter recruits the recent college grad to Magilumiere, a magical girl startup company. From here, Kana and Koshiyaga endeavor to make a name for Magilumiere against the hundreds of other magical girl agencies tasked with protecting the populace from the Kaii.

The first season was a solid addition to the Fall 2024 anime slate, satirically combining its magical girl conceit with the mundane realities of being a working adult. The show previously aired from October to December 2024 for 12 episodes and streamed on Amazon Prime Video worldwide. While the second season’s staff members haven’t been announced yet, the first was handled by Moe and J.C. Staff, so it wouldn’t be surprising if these studios were involved with this follow-up.
