Pokémon Concierge Will Be Back With Cozy Charm This September

It looks like there’s more stop-motion Psyduck on the immediate horizon because Pokémon Concierge’s second season is coming out Thursday, September 4 on Netflix. The series will reunite us with Haru, the latest concierge at Pokémon Resort, as she aims to create a comforting space for her guests and herself in the process..

The trailer for the new season teases some upcoming conflicts, including Haru running into her ex-boyfriend and an older gentleman named Dan tearfully reflecting on his time spent with his Sealeo. Same as with the last batch, we’ll be receiving four episodes produced by dwarf studio, the company behind other stop-motion projects like Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure.

For those who didn’t catch the first season, it was a delightful animated series that not only delivered the types of adorable sights you’d expect from Pokémon but also dove into a particular brand of millennial fatigue as our overworked protagonist tried to find a job that didn’t deeply suck. Basically, it felt laser-targeted at adults who grew up on the games, before potentially drifting away, and managed to balance its workplace shenanigans with deeply comforting summer vibes.
