Elden Right Nightreign DLC Confirmed to Be Released by March 2026, According to FromSoftware Parent Company

Game fans with at least two friends can rejoice. The parent company of Elden Ring Nightreign developer FromSoftware, Kadokawa, has confirmed new DLC for the game by the end of their fiscal year in March 2026. This news comes from the most recent financial report the company presented to investors.

“We are aiming for further sales growth for Elden Ring Nightreign, original Elden Ring, and its DLC,” the company announced in its report. Alongside the Nightreign DLC, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition and From’s new title The Duskbloods are both planned for release in 2026 for the Nintendo Switch 2.

There are currently few details as to what the exact contents of the DLC will be. FromSoftware has been providing regular patch updates to the game throughout 2025, which have included additional bosses and a two-player mode. The most recent and notable update to Elden Ring Nightreign was the addition of a new extreme difficulty expedition mode called “Deep of Night,” which was released on Sept. 11, 2025. One can expect however that a full-fledged DLC is likely to include a plethora of new bosses to fight, items and weapons to use, locations to explore, and new playable Nightfarers. A poison swamp or two also feels inevitable.

While the exact number of sales for the game were not specified, Kadokawa emphasized in the report that “FromSoftware’s Elden Ring Nightreign has performed well beyond initial expectations.” The success of this foray into a co-op multiplayer experience bodes well for future projects such as the aforementioned Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods

While the Kadokawa financial report guarantees a release date for the Nightreign DLC by March 2026, there is a chance that it could release earlier in 2026, or even before the end of the calendar year in 2025. For now, avid Nightreign enthusiasts will have to wait for content details and an exact release date for the DLC.
