Spy x Family Season 3 Gets New Trailer, Will Stream On Crunchyroll In October

More antics from one Anya Forger are right around the corner because Spy x Family Season 3 will start airing on October 4. Today, Crunchyroll announced that it will be simulcasting the series and released an official trailer that previews its spy craft and comedy.

Highlights from the teaser include numerous hilarious Anya faces, a special move called Friendship Crash, Yor being cool, and a very rare blushing Loid. Additionally, it was announced that Lilas Ikuta will handle the ending theme song “Actor,” which we heard some of as well.

For those who haven’t been following the uber-popular series, Crunchyroll offers the following description: “World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!”

Basically, it’s a very cute thriller/comedy/romance about found family and preventing World War 3 that blends humor with smoothly animated action courtesy of CloverWorks and Wit Studio.

So far, the anime has adapted roughly 61 out of the ongoing manga’s 122 chapters. Season 2 of the anime finished airing in December 2023, with the film Spy x Family Code: White coming out that same month in Japanese theaters and in 2024 in the United States.

The latest season will be directed by Yukiko Imai, who handled storyboarding and episode direction during the previous season. Character design and chief animation direction will once again be handled by Kazuaki Shimada, and Rino Yamasaki, who assisted with Season 2’s scripts, will be handling series composition. Meanwhile, despite ongoing health issues, Atsumi Tanezaki will be returning to voice Anya Forger. Soari Hayami will once again voice Yor, and Takuya Eguchi will portray Loid.
