Oshi no Ko Season 3 Gets January 2026 Release Window

Yesterday, the third season of the showbiz-focused Oshi no Ko got a January 2026 release window alongside a teaser video that revealed a pair of new cast members; Yuto Takenaka will play Shun Yoshizumi, an assistant director for the variety show Fukabore☆One Chance!, and Yōji Ueda will be Tetsu Urushibara, that same variety show’s director.
The third season will once again be animated by Doga Kobo (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, Yuru Yuri, Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night). Several key staff will be returning to their previous roles, with Daisuke Hiramaki as director, Jin Tanaka (Kowloon Generic Romance) handling series composition, and Kanna Hirayama once again as the character designer and chief animation director.
The first season of Oshi no Ko began in April 2023 and ran until June, while the second started in July 2024 and ended in October. Its 24 episodes have adapted 80 chapters of Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) and Mengo Yokoyari’s manga of the same name, which ran for 162 chapters from April 23, 2020, to November 14, 2024. At its current stable pace, the anime would need about one additional season after the third to complete the story.
