Find ‘Em All in Pokémon GO with Poke Radar App

Pokémon GO doesn’t make it easy to know which Pokémon are where. In fact, that’s part of the fun: just start walking, not knowing what you’ll get, and perhaps you’ll discover something new. However, if you’re in search of that one specific Pokémon you’re missing, endlessly walking may get old. To alleviate this, developers Braydon Batungbacal and Nick DiVona bring you Poke Radar.

Poke Radar is a website and mobile app (currently iOS only) that displays locations of nearby Pokémon. Which Pokémon you encounter is at least in part tied to your level, so the app isn’t foolproof, but it gives a much better picture of Pokémon locations.

The location info is crowdsourced from other Pokémon GO players. This means that trolls can submit phony locations, but Poke Radar also gives people the ability to rate a sighting. If a rare Pokémon has a poor rating, it’s almost assuredly fake.

The website is currently experiencing slow-down due to a lot of traffic, but the app is working fine in our experience. It defaults to your current location, but you can move the map around, submit Pokémon sightings and even filter by specific Pokémon.

This is sure to make catching all 151 original Pokémon (or at least the ones available so far) much easier for completionists, and more cost-effective than buying accounts. We’re still waiting on more info on the legendaries such as Mew and Mewtwo, which have never been seen in-game, although one intrepid YouTuber found mentions of them in the game’s code.
