Hell’s Paradise Season 2 Gets First Trailer

Hell’s Paradise Season 2 Gets First Trailer

Earlier today, we got the first trailer for Hell’s Paradise Season 2, showcasing Gabimaru and the rest of the Trapped On A Messed Up Murder Island gang as they attempted to not die. It seems that this season will focus on Gabimaru fighting to maintain his precious memories of his wife while he and his companions continue to battle psychedelic monsters. Meanwhile, a fresh batch of shogun-appointed executioners arrives as “back-up.” The series is set to return in January 2026.

For those who didn’t catch the first season, which aired back in July 2023, the series follows a group of convicted criminals and their government-appointed handlers/executioners, as they are sent to a deadly island. Their goal is to find an elixir of immortality for the shogun, who will pardon whoever retrieves the prize from their death sentence. The story centers on Gabimaru, a ninja convicted of murder, and his potential executioner, Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, as the pair form an unlikely friendship while battling creatures beyond mortal understanding.

While the series begins with an intensely pulpy premise that includes giant cannibals and depraved serial killers duking it out, the series finds some great material in its two leads, Gabimaru, a trained killer who is also very much a wife guy, and Sagiri, who struggles with a profession that involves separating people’s heads from their shoulders.

MAPPA (Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga) animated the 13-episode first season and is returning for the second. The previous season adapted the first 45 chapters out of 127 of Yuji Kaku’s popular Shonen Jump manga of the same name, making it likely that around 25-26 episodes will be needed to finish this adaptation. While this follow-up was immediately announced following the conclusion of the first season, an exact episode count hasn’t been announced yet.
