With a mix of Megaman and Gunstar Heroes, what’s not to like about 20XX? The roguelike action platformer is coming to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on July 10, while the Xbox One version will arrive on July 11, according to developers Batterystaple Games and Fire Hose Games.
20XX came to life as a Kickstarter project in 2014 under the name Echoes of Eridu. In a Reddit AMA, Chris King, founder of Batterystaple Games, says that the team created the Megaman-inspired game “because he’s been ignored by Capcom for so long. We really, really wanted to play more Megaman, so we decided to give it our best shot.”
20XX hit Steam Early Access back in November of 2014, with the release of the final version later in August of 2017. Valve even named the game one of their top Early Access Graduates of 2017 with over 100,000 purchased download from PC players.
