Doom Eternal, the sequel to iD Software’s 2016 series reboot Doom, is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and the Nintendo Switch on Nov. 22. Hell will be coated in demon blood and viscera in just a few months.
During Bethesda’s E3 press conference Sunday night, game director Marty Stratton and creative director Hugo Martin took to the stage to fill it with energetic violence and rhythm-like chaos. When discussing Doom Eternal, they announced the aforementioned release date, showed a story trailer and a gameplay trailer, and announced a brand-new multiplayer mode called “Battlemode.”
In “Battlemode,” two players control demons while one player controls the ever-powerful Doomslayer. Players will fight to survive in a three-player demons vs. Doomslayer mode that has been likened to a fighting game.
