Gris Brings Its Gorgeous Watercolor Visuals to Switch, PC Later This Year

Publisher Devolver Digital announced Monday that Gris, a narrative adventure game coming from Nomada Studio, arrives on the Nintendo Switch and PC later this year. The game features light puzzles, platforming and some skill-based challenges. However, the most compelling aspect that is set to make the game stand out seems to be its visuals.
The announcement trailer features an artistic style similar to a watercolor painting with its bright, vivid colors lending a dappled texture to the game world. The detailed animations are also reminiscent of an animated film. Devolver Digital and Nomada Studio are looking to make the narrative experience accessible to all players, as they state the game is “free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulous designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score.”
