IGN Names Interim Editor-in-Chief

Butts was let go after an internal investigation into alleged misconduct relating to sexual assault allegations rendered against a former editor by former employee Kallie Plagge.

Schneider will hold the position as the popular publication conducts a search for a permanent replacement for Butts, but Schneider told Polygon he’ll serve in the role for “however long it takes to get it right.”

“I’m lucky to have a team of seasoned editorial and video leaders I can rely on while I search for the best person for the job,” added Schneider.
