Where to Watch June’s Nintendo Direct

Hot on the heels of an already packed month of videogame announcements, Nintendo of America announced the date and time of its next Nintendo Direct. The showcase will stream live on June 18 at 7:00 A.M. PST/10:00 A.M. ET, and feature roughly 40 minutes worth of games currently scheduled to come out on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Currently, the only first-party Switch titles with firm release dates this year are Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD (June 27) and Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition (July 18). This certainly does not mean the latter half of 2024 will be lacking, however. Last year’s June Nintendo Direct brought the announcements of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG and Detective Pikachu Returns, which all released later that year. It stands to reason that Nintendo will not leave fans wanting until 2025. A certainly welcome surprise would be Metroid Prime 4, a game that hasn’t been featured since E3 2017.
