Here’s Everything Nintendo Announced at Their Latest Direct

Kirby’s Epic Yarn is being ported to the 3DS

Originally a Wii game, this entry in the series dedicated to everyone’s beloved pink ball will be ported exclusively to the 3DS (it’s still alive!). This version provides a few new features, like giving you the ability to craft bigger yarn balls, summon bead-collecting wind, and play two new modes that feature familiar faces like King Dedede and Meta Knight. The game will come out in 2019.

Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey for the 3DS

Originally released in 2009, the game is being remade on the Nintendo 3Ds. The game will have revamped graphics and fine-tuned gameplay. It will also include a new side story that “follows Bowser Jr. as he gathers an army, creates formations, supports his allies with an arsenal of moves and generally causes chaos.” It will release on Jan. 11, 2019.

Luigi’s Mansion for the 3DS

In this edition of Luigi’s Mansion, which was originally released on the GameCube, if two players each own the game, they can team up to explore and capture ghosts. The game offers amiibo support that provides a variety of new gameplay features. The spooky title will make its way to the 3DS on Oct. 12.

Yo-Kai Watch Blasters

Yo-Kai Watch Blasters will have local and online multiplayer features, allowing players to team up with friends or use the online multiplayer to tackle challenging battles. According to a press release, a free “Moon Rabbit Crew” software update on Sept. 27 will add new missions, new areas to explore, new Yo-kai to befriend and new Big Boss Yo-kai.

Splatoon 2 Version 4 update

The Version 4.0 update has been released, and it includes the first set of weapons from the Kensa Collection as well as new Splatfest changes. In early October, Version 4.1 will arrive, bringing a new stage, new songs and more Kensa Collection weapon sets.

Mario Tennis Aces gets new series staple characters

The new update, which will release on Sept. 19, will bring beloved characters like Birdo, Petey Piranha, Koopa Paratroopa and Shy Guy. The update brings new cooperative multiplayer modes that will be available for a limited time.

Mega Man 11

Mega Man 11 launches on Oct. 2, and a free demo is now available. The full game will support the already-existing Mega Man amiibo, but it will also bring a new Mega Man amiibo figure that will be exclusively included in the game’s “amiibo Edition.”

Capcom Beat ‘Em up Bundle for Nintendo Switch

Capcom’s Final Fight, Armored Warriors, Captain Commando, Battle Circuit and Knights of the Round will come to Nintendo Switch with up to four-player local and online play. The digital version of the bundle can be purchased in the Nintendo eShop this winter.

Super Mario Bros. Ultimate Deluxe is getting ported to the Switch

Super Mario Bros. Ultimate Deluxe will come to Nintendo Switch on Jan. 11, 2019. It will include New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U. You will be able to play as Mario, Luigi, Toad, Nabbit and Toadette, who can turn into Peachette by getting a Super Crown.

Katamari Damacy Reroll is rolling its way to the Nintendo Switch

Katamari Damacy is back, and it’s poised to be better than ever on the Nintendo Switch. The HD remaster will have gyro control, HD Rumble and multiplayer support with the Joy-Con controllers. It launches digitally on Nov. 30, and the physical version will release later this year in the winter.

NES controllers announced for the Switch

Available for preorder starting on Sept. 18, the wireless Nintendo Entertainment System controllers will be priced at $59.99. They will come in a pack of two, and will be available for purchase for Switch Online subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.

Diablo III: Eternal Collection

Blizzard Entertainment’s action-RPG classic was announced to be making its way to the Nintendo Switch four weeks ago. It has been confirmed to release later this year on Nov. 2. This version of the game will have the exclusive Legend of Ganondorf cosmetic armor set, compatibility with all amiibo figures and more.

Super Mario Party

Super Mario Party will release on Oct. 5, and is now available for preorder. The trailer revealed the Sound Stage mode, which lets up to four players engage in rhythm-based gameplay, and the River Survival mode is the series’ first four-player co-op mode.

TOWN (working title)

The developer of the Pokemon series, GAME FREAK, is currently working on a new game called TOWN (currently still a working title). It’s a new story in a small village with a secret to hide. After the sudden appearance of monsters, the player must fight the invaders with the aid of other villagers. It is slated for a 2019 release on the Switch.

Cities: Skylines is now on the Switch

The esteemed game that allows you to build your own city from top to bottom is now out on the Switch. You can purchase it in the Nintendo eShop.

Daemon x Machina

Revealed three months ago in an announcement trailer, this game depicts a world in which it and its inhabitants are on the brink of extinction. Take control of a mercenary and pilot a powerful suit called an Arsenal to combat AI. It launches on the Switch in 2019.

Yoshi’s Crafted World

The adorable trailer depicts a world made of household items, and this world is Yoshi’s oyster. Gobble enemies and travel through the colorful world, uncovering its secrets. Travel the world backwards to find out even more hidden depths, nooks and crannies. It will release in spring 2019.

Tabletop gaming is arriving on the Switch

Popular tabletop games like Carcassone, The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, Pandemic, Munchkin and Catan Universe will get a virtual platform on the Switch starting in December.

Civilization VI

Civilization VI will arrive on the switch on Nov. 16, and will bring an exclusive four-player wireless LAN multiplayer mode.

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee Secret Techniques trailer

In a new gameplay trailer, different methods and techniques of navigating the world you’ll inhabit are shown off. Secret techniques are special skills that only your partner Eevee or Pikachu can use in the wild. If you pet your partner Pokemon while you’re playing in handheld mode, you can change their hairstyle. The games will release on Nov. 16. Two new bundles will include a Nintendo Switch system with Pikachu and Eevee style Joy Con controllers, one of the two games and a Poke Ball Plus accessory.

Multiple Final Fantasy games will be ported to the Switch

A slew of Final Fantasy titles will be making their way to the Nintendo Switch soon. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles will arrive in 2019. Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is available as of the end of the Nintendo Direct. World of Final Fantasy Maxima, which includes a new feature called “avatar change,” will release on Nov. 6. Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy! will come out this winter. Classic mainline entries Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be on the Switch in 2019.

Various sports games will be playable on the Switch

NBA: 2K19 is now available. NBA 2K Playgrounds will come to Nintendo Switch this fall. Just Dance 2019 launches on Oct. 23. EA SPORTS FIFA 19 can be pre-purchased now in anticipation of when it releases on Sept. 28. Lastly, Team Sonic Racing will race to arrive on the Switch in the winter.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas

Defeat Wolf’s team in Star Fox missions that will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of the game. It will launch on Oct. 16.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix

Play the Switch version of this widely beloved game on Oct. 12. Explore Shibuya and the greater Tokyo area as Neku, who has become a players of the Reapers’ Game and must complete daily missions, lest he face erasure from the world.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country

The prequel to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch today, Sept. 14.

Warframe on the Switch

Lego DC Super-Villains
