Overwatch is Now a Winter Wonderland, With Holiday Loot and a New Brawl

The latest event to come to everyone’s favorite fan-fic factory, Overwatch, updates the game for the jolly holiday season. For the Winter Wonderland event, 100 new cosmetic items have been added including unique, festive skins for Winston, Zenyatta, Torbjörn, Pharah, Roadhog, Reaper, Sombra, Tracer, McCree, Mei, Lúcio and Zarya. Each Loot Box you get will have at least one Winter Wonderland item. You’ll keep whatever winter items you’ve collected once the event is over, but after that, you won’t be able to get anymore.

The event has also brought with it a classic holiday tradition, the snowball fight, in the form of the new brawl, Mei’s Snowball Offensive. In the brawl, everyone plays as Mei, except instead of shooting frost and icicles, she’ll fire one-hit kill snowballs. Normally, you’ll have to reload your snowball by finding a pile of snow, but with her ultimate, you’ll be able to fire snowballs without reloading.

Winter Wonderland is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and it runs until Jan. 2. Watch a trailer showing off some of the holiday goodness below, and check out all the game’s seasonal skins in our gallery here.
