Stardew Valley, Psychonauts 2 Come to PlayStation Plus in September

The cusp of autumn is always charged with excitement. Some people (including us here at Endless Mode) are going back to school. The evening chill teases sweaters and soup season, and Halloween is just around the corner. As August turns to September in perhaps the largest transition of the year, PlayStation Plus members will gain access to some pretty neat games starting the day after Labor Day. Here are the games you’ll soon be able to get cozy with as the leaves turn.

Stardew Valley for PS4

The transition from summer to autumn is, of course, best experienced on a virtual farm. Stardew Valley needs no introduction; it is the best-reviewed game of all time on Steam, and fundamental to the farming sim (aka “cozy game”) genre. If you somehow haven’t played it yet, go cultivate some crops.

Psychonauts 2 for PS4

Double Fine Productions recently celebrated their 25th anniversary, and part of their acclaimed portfolio is Psychonauts 2, a stylish action platformer where you play as an acrobat with psychic powers. Your quest to become a spy will lead you into the minds of friends and enemies alike.

Viewfinder for PS4 and PS5

The BAFTA-winning Viewfinder is all about taking pictures. In it you’ll use an instant camera to play with perception and reality itself through a series of puzzles. Viewfinder was developed by Sad Owl Studios and published by Thunderful Group (which was recently acquired by Atari).

PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to add all of these titles to their library starting September 2, but in the meantime you can still grab August’s games, which are Lies of P, Day Z, and My Hero One’s Justice 2. PlayStation Plus also comes with online multiplayer features and access to a PlayStation Game Catalog. Subscriptions are available starting at $9.99.
