“Farewell” Closes One Chapter of Life is Strange but Details of the Next Chapter Should Be Revealed in “the Coming Months”

Tuesday’s release of the bonus episode “Farewell” marks the end of both the Before the Storm prequel series and the more encompassing first chapter of the Life is Strange franchise. It is with a heavy heart that we bid a final goodbye to Max, Chloe, Rachel, the doe and the rest of Arcadia Bay, but it appears we haven’t seen the last of the series.

An unnamed Life is Strange project has been listed on developer Dontnod’s website for some time, and a blog post from Before the Storm developer Deck Nine Games revealed that more details regarding that title could be coming soon. “We now look forward to the coming months, when Michel Koch and Raoul Barbet’s team at Dontnod returns to present the new story and characters of the next Life is Strange,” said the studio.

The coming months line up rather closely with E3 2018, and an announcement about the future of the cherished narrative experience, with or without its iconic pair, could make a sizable splash at the gathering of gaming heavyweights.
