Veteran RPG developer Obsidian Entertainment (Fallout: New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth) has officially announced the sequel to their 2015 Kickstarter-funded role-playing game.
This time, the studio is funding the project through Fig, the crowdfunding platform that actually gives those who donate a return on their investment. Fans who give their money will receive equity from the studio. The funding goal is set at $1.1 million, with $2.25 million open for equity.
The original Pillars game shared the same funding goal when its Kickstarter campaign launched in 2012, and managed to raise just shy of $4 million. The sequel’s announcement video boasts more dynamic environments and NPCs in the game, as well as notably higher graphical fidelity.
