The development for the Xbox One will be community-driven, similar to the PC version, which the developer states will result in a “slightly different” gameplay experience for Xbox One players. To commemorate the launch to the platform, Bluehole and Microsoft will provide three limited-edition cosmetic packs: the PUBG Warrior Pack, the PUBG Accessory Pack and the PUBG Tracksuit Pack. According to a press release, these are the only items that Xbox One players can purchase during this preview period.
Meanwhile, version 1.0 of the PC version is said to launch in late December. Bluehole is aiming for the Xbox One and PC versions of the game to align as closely as possible, despite the differences between the two platforms. As PUBG is carefully worded as a “console launch exclusive” in press releases, PlayStation 4 fans may very well join in on the battle royale fray sometime in the future.
Battlegrounds is airdropping to Xbox One on Dec. 12.
