Sega is piling on the nostalgia with its announcement of 10 new titles for its new Genesis Mini console, set for release Sept. 19. Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition and Vectorman will join a rare Mega Man trilogy, Mega Man: The Wily Wars, in an extensive and varied running catalogue of games.
The Mega Man collection offers three games for the price of one, compiling retro remakes of Mega Man, Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3, all of which were originally released on the NES and later appeared on the ill-fated Sega Channel online service.
The other ten titles include a throwback pinball spinoff and a legendary Street Fighter comeback.
“Busting robot enemies, brawling in the streets, and spinning with Sonic is just the beginning,” a tweet from Sega explains. “Welcome to the next level.”
