Rick and Morty Creator Debuts VR Game Accounting, Collaboration with The Stanley Parable Designer

So this didn’t take very long. Last month, Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland announced that he had started a VR videogame studio called Squanchtendo with former Epic Games executive producer Tanya Watson. Now, not only do we know what they were making, but we’re going to be able to get our hands on it soon.

Squanchtendo has teamed up with Crows Crows Crows, the studio from The Stanley Parable designer William Pugh, to make Accounting. As you might expect, the title belies the actual nature of the game which seems to feature VR inside of VR, some sort of tree world, and Roiland and Pugh aggressively shouting at the player. Things very quickly go from weird to weirder.

This will be Squanchtendo’s first game (or “program,” as the trailer calls it), but Roiland and Pugh previously worked together on Pugh’s short VR game, Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist.
