Mass Effect: Andromeda to Include Craftable, Nameable Weapons

Not only will players be able to craft their weapons in Mass Effect: Andromeda, they’ll be able to name them, too.

These features were confirmed via a tweet from Andromeda Lead Designer Ian S. Frazier:

PRO TIP: In MEA, you can craft your own krogan-style hammer and name it GRABTHAR’S HAMMER.

According to Frazier’s further tweets, the melee weapons themselves will have their own dedicated slot in your character’s loadout, and the returning “omni-blade” weapon will now be upgradeable.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will be available in North America on March 21 and worldwide on March 23. Recently at CES, EA and BioWare showed off two new minutes of gameplay, and just last week gave players a look at the Pathfinder’s new vehicles, the Tempest and Nomad.
