The fourth game in the series, ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove, began as a Kickstarter project by the original games’ creators. Having exceeded their initial goal by $100,000, the developers are still focusing their attention on PC, but hope to have the game released on console platforms, as well.
Promising more retro-style gameplay, the new game will also feature 3D maps, new characters alongside old favorites, and much more. The first playable demo of the game will be available at the PAX West festival in Seattle on Sept. 2-5.
